Because Vitamin C is a product that can deteriorate, we use protected vitamin C in our guinea pig food, which although more expensive, means we are better assured of its stability. Guinea Pig owners need a little extra knowledge to keep Guinea Pigs as pets and we would recommend, if you have not already done so, you buy or borrow a care book and learn what their specific requirements are.

Composition: Wheat, Peas, Oatfeed, Wheatfeed, Toasted Soya, Oats, Flaked Maize, Lucerne, Sunflower Ext., Whole Maize, Vegetable Oil, Apple, Grape, Grass, Syrup, Carob Meal, Minerals, Linseed, (0.4%), Yeast (0.04%).

Additives (per kg): Vitamin A 20,000 iu, Vitamin D3 1,200 iu, Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol acetate) 40 iu, Vitamin C (ascorbyl monophosphate) 200 mg. Trace Elements: Iron (iron lll ferric oxide) 360 mg, Iron (iron sulphate) 3 mg, Iodine (calcium iodate) 0.6 mg, Copper (cupric sulphate pentahydrate) 2.5 mg, Manganese (manganous oxide) 12 mg, Zinc (zinc oxide) 10 mg, Zinc (zinc chelate) 10 mg. *Colourants, Antioxidant. *Colourants – from a mineral source found in nature.
